With the continuous development of science and technology, RFID (radio frequency identification) technology has been widely used in the field of asset management. From the traditional RFID asset management to the upgraded version of RFID asset management, the progress of technology has not only brought cost optimization, but also achieved significant improvements in performance, operation, application and many other aspects. This paper will conduct in-depth comparative analysis of traditional RFID asset management and upgraded RFID asset management from the perspectives of cost, performance, operation, application, etc., in order to highlight the advantages of the upgraded RFID asset management system.
In terms of application, the label selection of traditional RFID asset management systems is limited, and the application scenarios of flexible labels and self-adhesive labels are limited, especially in outdoor scenes, where the performance and surface printing color are affected by weather. The upgraded version of the RFID asset management system can choose the adaptive form of the tag according to different application scenarios, and the scenario is unlimited. This flexibility enables the upgraded RFID asset management system to maximize the advantages of RFID technology and meet the needs of asset management in different scenarios.
